Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 112 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on July 30, 2025 to 5:00 am on July 31, 2025.
Project Renewal – Drug Arrests
On July 30th 2025, as a result of a Drug Trafficking investigation in the City of Belleville, members of Project Renewal executed 2 Controlled Drugs Substance Act Warrants in Belleville’s west end with the assistance of the Belleville Police K9 and Emergency Response Unit.
Police Seized:
· 10.2 grams of suspected Cocaine
· 65.4 grams of suspected Fentanyl
· 4 cell phones
· $189.50 in Canadian currency
As a result of police investigation, the following persons were arrested and charged:
Chris BAKER, 59 yrs of Belleville, was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:
1. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – fentanyl – section 5(2) CDSA
2. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – cocaine – section 5(2) CDSA
3. Possession of Proceeds of Obtained by Crime-Under $5000 – section 354(1)(a) CC
Brittney BICHENER, 34 yrs of Belleville, was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:
1. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – fentanyl – section 5(2) CDSA
2. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – cocaine – section 5(2) CDSA
Drew SMITH, 62 yrs of Belleville, was charged with the following offences and released with a first appearance court date in September.

Warrants
On July 30th, Belleville Police on general patrol in the area of Dundas St E and South Church St observed a male who was known to have two outstanding warrants with Belleville Police Service. Officers stopped to contact the male, who attempted to flee before officers made an arrest. As a result, Nathan Jacobs, 43-year-old male of no fixed address, was arrested on the strength of two warrants. He was held for a bail hearing.
Warrants
On July 30th at approximately 9:00am, Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s east end regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers defused the situation and identified a male party who currently had a warrant outstanding from the Belleville Police Service for breach of probation and uttering threats. As a result, a 57-year-old male was arrested on the strength of the warrant. He was held for a bail hearing.

The Belleville Police Service is reminding the public to lock their vehicles after several recent reports of thefts from parked vehicles overnight.
Officers say to ensure that your vehicles are locked and that there are no valuables left inside overnight to prevent theft.
