City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service – Lindsay Man Charged with Theft, Assault Police, Breach x4 (No Name Released)

On Wednesday July 23, 2025, just after midnight police received a call for a male who entered a William Street North convenience store and selected a case of alcoholic beverages before fleeing the store making no attempt to pay for the item.

At 3:36 am, police were dispatched to an unwanted person call at an apartment building on William Street North, Lindsay. Security called to report that there was a male, who does not reside in the building, refusing to leave when asked. Police arrived on scene and located the male who was identified as being responsible for the earlier theft. He was arrested and returned to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service.

While in custody the accused was uncooperative and spit directly into an officer’s face.

A 22-year-old male from Lindsay was charged with:

· Breach of probation x 4

· Theft Under $5000

· Assault Peace Officer

The accused was held pending a bail hearing.
