Video – Hastings Man Facing Numerous Charges Following Head-On Collision in Hamilton Township (Name Released)

A 19-year-old Hastings man is facing numerous charges following a head-on collision north of Baltimore on June 14, 2025.

At approximately 6:10 p.m., OPP responded to a two-vehicle collision in the area of Harwood Road and Racetrack Road in the Township of Hamilton. EMS and Fire Department also responded to the call.

Road was closed as emergency services attended. All involved parties attended a local hospital as a precaution. Injuries not life-threatening. Officers entered into an impaired operation investigation and arrested one of the drivers involved.

As a result, Jayson Meyer (19), from Hastings, was charged with:

Dangerous operation causing bodily harm

Operation causing bodily harm

Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available

Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available

Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero

90-day ADLS and seven-day vehicle impound.

Harwood Road in the area of the collision was opened at around 7:30 p.m., following clean up and removal of vehicles by tow operators.
