Northumberland OPP – Warrant Results in Seizure of Loaded Handgun (Name Released)

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following the search of a residence in Campbellford.

On June 12, 2025, officers from the Peterborough-Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act (CDSA) warrant at an address on Grand Road.

A search of the location led to the seizure of a loaded handgun, a replica handgun, and approximately 480 grams of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $48,000. A large quantify of Canadian currency was also seized during the search.

Jordan DRAKE-BAWN, 24, from the Municipality of Trent Hills, was arrested and charged with:

– Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm

– Unauthorised possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm

– Breach of firearms regulation – store firearm or restricted firearm

– Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine

– Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

The accused was held for a Bail Hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
