Peterborough County OPP – Road Rage Incident Leads to Arrest (Name Released)

Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged an individual with assault and impaired driving after receiving a call regarding a road rage incident.

On May 31, 2025, shortly after 9:00am, Peterborough County OPP Officers were dispatched to a report of a fight between two individuals at an intersection on Buckhorn Road. Officers attended and spoke with the first driver who shared their side of the story. Upon speaking with the second driver, officers detected signs that they may be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the Peterborough County OPP detachment. The accused provided samples of their breath registering over twice the legal limit.

Brandon ROACH (age 39) of Buckhorn, ON., was arrested and charged with;

·      Operation while impaired

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Assault

·      Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on July 8, 2025.
