Belleville Police – Traffic Stop Results in Criminal Charges (Name Released)

In Police Blotter

On the 1st of May at 2:00am, an officer on patrol observed a vehicle being operated by a driver they knew to be suspended.

Police conducted a traffic stop.

The driver appeared to be impaired by drugs and was arrested. During the subsequent investigation, the driver refused to complete the testing administered by a Drug Recognition Expert.

As a result, 33-year-old Kayla Parks of Belleville was charged with operation while impaired, refusing to comply with a lawful demand, operation while disqualified, and breach of probation.

She was released on an Undertaking with a court date in June.
