Northumberland OPP – Drug Trafficking Charges Following Warrants (Names Released)

Police have seized drugs, firearms, and various other drug trafficking related items following search warrants executed at locations in Northumberland County, Centre Hastings, North York and Kingston.

The Peterborough/Northumberland and Centre Hastings Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police in collaboration with the Kingston Police Service (KPS), launched a multi-jurisdictional drug trafficking investigation with information that was obtained earlier this year.

As part of the operation, search warrants were executed on April 23, 2025, at four different locations.

With assistance by the KPS Drug Unit and police services front line members, four individuals were arrested and face multiple charges.

Investigators additionally seized

1404 grams of suspected cocaine,

129 grams of MDMA (ecstasy),

43 Percocet pills,

firearms

and various other drug trafficking related items.

The approximate street value of the seized drugs is $65,300.

Daniel Jacob LAFLEUR (age 33) of Kingston, has been charged with:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

Possession of Proceeds by crime under $5,000

 

Todd SAMPSON (age 51) of Marmora, has been charged with:

Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine (2 counts)

Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking – MDMA & nbsp; (2 counts)

Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid (2 counts)

Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000 (2 counts)

Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling (2 counts)

Unauthorized possession of a firearm (2 counts)

 

Michael PELOQUIN (age 36) of North York, has been charged with:

Trafficking a controlled substance – Cocaine

Possession of prohibited device

 

Matthew BROCKWELL (age 35) of Marmora, has been charged with:

Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine (2 counts)

Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – MDMA (2 counts)

Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid &nbs p; (2 counts)

Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling (2 counts)

Possession of proceeds of crime (2 counts)

Unauthorized possession of a firearm (2 counts)

Three of the accused were held for bail. The accused from North York was released with conditions to attend court in Kingston on a later date.
