Peterborough County OPP – Norwood Driver Charged with Impaired (Name Released)

Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged an individual with impaired driving after conducting a traffic stop.

On April 20, 2025, shortly after 4:00pm, Peterborough County OPP Officers were on general patrol on County Road 40 in the township of Asphodel-Norwood when they observed a vehicle travelling at a rate significantly higher than the posted 80km/hr limit. The officer conducted a traffic stop and upon speaking with the driver, determined the driver to be impaired and arrested them.

Jeffrey COLAZZI (age 42) of Norwood, ON., was arrested and charged with;

· Operation while impaired

· Dangerous Operation

The accused had their drivers licence suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on June 3, 2025
