Peterborough Police – Niagara Homicide Suspect Arrested in Peterborough

Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) detectives assigned to the Homicide Unit continue to investigate the fatal stabbing that occurred in St. Catharines on March 30, 2025.

As a result of the investigation, with the assistance of The Peterborough Police Service, on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at approximately 9:15am, Rohan CHANDLER (30 years) was arrested in the area of Aylmer and Simcoe Streets in the City of Peterborough by the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Second Degree Murder
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

CHANDLER is being held in custody and transported back to the Niagara Region.  He is scheduled to attend a bail hearing on Tuesday April 8, 2025, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse located at 59 Church Street in the City of St. Catharines.

The investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact homicide detectives at 905-688-4111, dial option #3, extension #1009475.
