Video – Cobourg Police Service Seeking Assistance Identifying Suspect in Theft Investigation

On March 21, 2025, police responded to a report of theft from an address in the area of Division Street and University Street.

Police were informed that five downspouts had been stolen from the property.

The theft is believed to have occurred in the early morning of March 21, and a suspect was captured on video leaving the property with one of the downspouts at approximately 6:00 a.m. and walking west on Havelock Street in Cobourg.

The Cobourg Police is requesting public assistance in identifying the suspect and asking residents who live in the area to check any home video footage that may have captured any suspicious activity.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 905-372-6821 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS or visiting stopcrimehere.ca.

Tips received through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward.
