Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Charged with Shoplifting x5, Failing to Comply x10 (No Name Released)

A 44-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges for involvement in five shoplifting incidents.

On Sunday, March 30, 2025, police on general patrol observed a man wanted on outstanding warrants with the Cobourg Police Service in relation to shoplifting offences which took place in Cobourg between the dates of March 22 and March 27.

As a result, the 44-year-old Cobourg man was arrested without incident and charged with 10 counts of failing to comply with Probation, five counts of Theft under $5,000 and five counts of possession of property by crime under $5,000.

The accused was held for a bail hearing on March 31, 2025.
