Cobourg Police – Two Women Charged with Shoplifting (No Names Released)

Two women are facing charges following a shoplifting incident.

On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting in progress at a business on King Street West.

Responding officers located two suspects leaving the store and placed them under arrest.

Following an investigation, a 29-year-old woman from the Orangeville area and a 36-year-old Cobourg woman were each charged with Theft Under $5,000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.

The accused were released on an undertaking with a future court date.
