Belleville Police – Brampton Men Charged with Theft (No Names Released)

On the 25th of March at 8:30pm, police received a call from staff of a business on Bell Blvd regarding two males that had intentionally left the store without paying for merchandise.

Police were in the area on patrol when they received the call and quickly located and stopped the vehicle which the two males were in.

During their investigation, police learned that the two males were in the store placing bottles of Glenfiddich Scotch, Johnnie Walker scotch and Grey Goose vodka into re-useable grocery bags.

Store employees told them to stop however the suspects continued and then walked out of the store with the items.

While searching the vehicle, police located additional stolen power tools from a nearby store.

Police arrested all three men inside the vehicle.

Police attended the nearby power tool store and confirmed the theft.

As a result, 2 males from Brampton with ages 48 and 22, were charged with theft under $5000 and possession of stolen property under $5000.

A third male inside the vehicle, 31-years-old also of Brampton was arrested and charged with theft under $5000, possession of stolen property under $5000 and breach of probation.

All three men were held for a bail hearing.
