Quinte West OPP – Arrest Made in Serious Assault (Name Released)

Additional Information Released
On March 20th 2025, at 10:00 am, members of Quinte West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a report of a male with a weapon threatening violence. The male party was inside a washroom at a local restaurant on Division Street, in the City of Quinte West. Police attended and the accused was taken into custody.

Brian VACHON, aged 40, from Quinte West, has been charged with:

Sexual Assault with a Weapon

Assault with A Weapon X two counts

Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm

Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose X two counts

Forcible Confinement

Fail to Comply

VACHON was remanded into custody with a future court date before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
