Cobourg Man Charged with Intimate Partner Violence

A 41-year-old Cobourg man is facing intimate partner violence charges.

On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., police were called to a residence in the east end of Cobourg for a possible domestic disturbance.

Police attended, and following an investigation, a 41-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with Assault – Spousal and Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm – Spousal.

The man was held in custody for a bail hearing.

 

Cobourg Woman Charged with Causing a Disturbance

A 35-year-old woman has been charged with disturbing the peace following an incident Wednesday night.

On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at approximately 11:00 p.m., police received multiple calls reporting a woman yelling and screaming outside of a residence in the area of James Street and Division Street in Cobourg.

As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Cobourg woman with Causing a Disturbance.

The accused was released with a future court date.
