Northumberland OPP – Cramahe Man Charged with Assault, Uttering Threats

An individual has been charged following a family dispute at a residence.

On February 26, 2025, at approximately 10:45 a.m., members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a family dispute at an address on CN Cross Road in the Township of Cramahe.

Officers arrived and spoke to the complainant who advised that they had been threatened and assaulted but did not require medical attention.

A 33-year-old male from the Township of Cramahe, was arrested and charged with:

– Assault

– Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm.

The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date. The individual shall not be named to protect the identity of the victim.
