Lansdowne Place Mall Investigation – Update #2

The Peterborough Police Service has concluded an investigation at the Lansdowne Place Mall.

At approximately 2:10pm on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, a bomb threat call was received. Officers evacuated the building. No injuries were reported.

Early this evening, members of the York Regional Police Service Bomb Squad including a bomb-sniffing police dog checked the property and have cleared it as safe.

The mall has been returned to the care of the property owner.

The Peterborough Police Service takes these types of calls very seriously and will continue to investigate. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Peterborough Police at 705-876-1122 x555 or submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online through www.stopcrimehere.ca
