Quinte West OPP – Youth Charged in Incident at Quinte West School

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a young person in relation to an incident at a local school.

On Tuesday February 5, 2025, at approximately 3:10 p.m., Quinte West OPP responded to a school on County Road 40, where it was reported a young person was threatening a staff member. There were no injuries in the incident.

As a result of the investigation a youth from the Quinte Area was arrested and charged with:

Assault with a Weapon;

Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

The accused has been released with a future court date. The name of the youth is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
