Peterborough County OPP – Missing Person Found Deceased

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have located the remains of an individual that had been reported as missing from the Otonabee-South Monaghan Township area.

On January 9, 2025, the Peterborough County OPP received information regarding a missing person identified as 30-year-old ‘Jesse’.

On January 14, 2025, as part of the search being conducted for the missing individual, remains of a deceased person were located in the area of Fourth Line i n the township of Otonabee-South Monaghan. An increased Police presence was visible in the area while an investigation was conducted.

On January 24, 2025, the Peterborough County OPP received confirmation that the remains located were those of ‘Jesse’. At this time, foul play is not suspected.

The Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service is continuing their investigation.
