A Port Hope youth has been charged with assault after a confrontation with his mother.
In the evening of January 17, 2025, the accused’s mother approached her son in their residence and began to question him regarding his prescribed medication. The Accused became upset and struck his mother in her head with a closed fist.
As a result, the youth was arrested and charged with assault. He is currently in custody, awaiting a bail hearing.
