Cobourg Police – Cobourg Woman Charged with Shoplifting (No Name Released)

A Cobourg woman is facing charges after police are called to a business on Sunday.

On Sunday, January 5, 2025, at approximately 11:30 a.m., police attended a downtown business in the Town of Cobourg, after receiving a report of shoplifting. Through investigation, it was determined that the female selected and concealed merchandise and left without making any effort to pay.

As a result, a 36-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
