Cobourg Police – Alnwick/Haldimand Township Woman Charged with Impaired (No Name Released)

A 27-year-old woman is facing impaired charges after resident reports suspected impaired driving in Cobourg.

On Saturday, January 4, 2025, at approximately 3:50 p.m., police were notified of a suspected impaired driver on Division Street in the Town of Cobourg.

Police subsequently located the vehicle, and a traffic stop was initiated.

Through investigation, police formed reasonable grounds that the driver was impaired. The driver was
subsequently arrested and transported to the Cobourg Police Station where they provided samples of their breath.

As a result, a 27-year-old female from the Township of Alnwick Haldimand was charged with impaired
operation and impaired operation – 80 and above.

The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
