Belleville Police – Incidents Include Missing Person, Family Dispute, Domestic Assault

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 173 calls for service between 5:00 am on December 27, 2024 to 5:00 am on December 30, 2024.

Family Dispute
On the 29th of December, 2024 at 12:36am, Belleville Police Service were dispatched to a residence on Ridley Street, after receiving a report of a family dispute in progress. When police arrived, the female victim reported she was assaulted by her intoxicated son, with apparent injuries. As a result of the investigation, police arrested a 21-year old male of Belleville, for assault. The accused was transported to the Belleville Police Station and released on an undertaking, issued a court date in February 2025.

Domestic Assault
On December 29th, 2024, at 2:15am, Belleville Police were called to a residence on Lywood Street, regarding a domestic incident. Upon arrival, police received information that the female victim reported her vehicle was damaged by her partner and the male suspect had departed the area. Further investigation led to officers locating and arresting a 39-year-old Belleville man for domestic mischief and uttering threats. The accused was held for a bail hearing on December 29th, 2024.

Domestic Assault
On 29 December, 2024, at approximately 12:00pm, police were called to a west end address regarding a domestic assault. Upon arrival, police learned that a male had assaulted his wife and damaged her phone. Police arrested the 33-year-old Belleville man, and he was charged with two counts of spousal assault, and one count of mischief. He was held for a bail hearing on 30 December, 2024.

Police continue to search for missing 26-year-old Belleville resident
Members of the Belleville Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Division are continuing to search for 26-year-old Belleville resident Andrew Robinson. Robinson was last observed at 2:25am on the 23rd of December walking east bound on College Street West from Sidney St. Robinson was not dressed for the cold weather when he left his residence. Police and family are concerned for his safety and well-being. Andrew is described as 5’11”, 155 lbs., having short black hair and a mustache. He was last observed wearing white track pants, a ty-die style long sleeve shirt with the word “ELEMENT” on the sleeve, black shoes and wearing a black backpack. He was also observed to be carrying a teddy bear. Anyone with information regarding Robinson’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Belleville Police Service at 613-966-0882.
