Cobourg Police – Port Hope Man Charged with Assault, Assault with Weapon (Name Released)

A 25-Year-old Port Hope man is facing charges after police called for a weapons investigation.

At approximately 1:25 pm, on December 11, 2024 police were called to an address in the area of John Street and James Street for a male armed with a knife. Police arrived on scene, arrested the suspect and
recovered the knife.

25-year-old Port Hope resident, Julianno Petrella was charged with assault, assault with a weapon, carry concealed weapon and breach probation. He was held for a bail hearing on Thursday, December 12th, 2024.
