Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Facing Charges of Break and Enter, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000, Breach (No Name Released)

It was previously reported that on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, police opened an investigation after
receiving a report of a break and enter after the fact at a business on Buchanan Street.

On Sunday, November 24, 2024, four storage units at a business located on Buchanan Street were
entered by unknown suspects. Scenes of Crime Officers attended the business to process the scene.

Based on security footage, there are believed to be five suspects in this matter. Among the items
reported missing from the unit is a full-size hunting crossbow that is camouflaged in colour.

Update:
Through Police investigation, a male suspect was identified and on Tuesday, December 10th, 2024, at
5:00 p.m., a 35 year old male from Cobourg was arrested and charged with:

1. Possession of Break In Instruments

2. Break and Enter – commit theft over $5,000

3. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.00

4. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.00 x 2

5. Breach of Probation x 2

The accused was held for a bail hearing on Wednesday, December11th, 2024 and remanded into
custody.

Other suspects are still outstanding and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information,

Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward.
