Quinte West OPP – Theft of Motor Vehicle at Gas Pump

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating after a vehicle was stolen from a west end gas station.

On December 1, 2024, OPP members, with the assistance of the OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) responded to the reported theft a theft.

After fleeing the scene, the vehicle was involved in a single vehicle collision, at Telephone Road and 2nd Dug Hill Road, where it entered the ditch and struck a pole. Officers responded and spoke to witnesses who saw the driver get into another vehicle and leave the scene.

Quinte West OPP is continuing to investigate the incident and reviewing video surveillance from the store.
