Cobourg Woman Charged with Spousal Assault

A 30-year-old Cobourg woman is facing charges after police responded to a disturbance Wednesday morning.
On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at approximately 8:30 a.m., police received complaint of a Domestic assault after the fact.
As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested and charged with Assault (spousal). The accused was released on an Undertaking with conditions and a future court date.

 

Port Hope Man Charged with Take Vehicle without Consent, Possession of Crystal Meth

Port Hope man facing charges after police respond to a vehicle taken without consent.
On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Cobourg Police received a complaint of a motor vehicle having been taken from the downtown area without the consent of the owner.
Police located the vehicle at a residential address in the North end of Cobourg and the vehicle was returned to the owner.
A 20-year-old Port Hope man was arrested. During the arrest, police located a small quantity of suspected crystal methamphetamine. The man was charged with take motor vehicle without consent and possession of a schedule 1 substance – Methamphetamine. The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.

A 41-year-old Cobourg man is facing multiple charges after police arrest on outstanding warrants Wednesday morning as part of the Warrant Apprehension and Bail Compliance project.
On Wednesday, November 28, 2024, as part of the Warrant Apprehension and Bail Compliance project, members of the Cobourg Police Service in conjunction with the Port Hope Police Service located and arrested a man in the Municipality of Port Hope, on the strength of two outstanding warrants held by CPS.
