Cobourg Police – Two People Charged with Impaired Driving (No Names Released)

On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, members of the Cobourg Police Service were conducting impaired driving enforcement in the north end of the Town of Cobourg.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Division Street after it was observed departing from a licensed establishment.

Following an investigation, a 24-year-old driver from Hamilton Township was arrested and charged with
Operation While Impaired. The accused was released on an Undertaking with a future court date.

On Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at approximately 1:20 a.m., police were called to a business on Elgin Street West for a possible impaired driver. Officers attended and located a male behind the wheel of a motor vehicle.

Following an investigation, a 48-year-old Newtonville man was arrested and charged with Operation While Impaired.

The accused was released on an Undertaking with a future court date.
