Video – A Number of Vehicles Placed “Out of Service” Following Joint Service Enforcement

A joint effort by Northumberland OPP, Port Hope Police and Ministry of Transportation Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspector yielded five vehicle that were placed out of service on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

Officers throughout the day pulled a number of vehicles into the MTO parking lot on Toronto Road just south of Highway 401.

A inspection of the vehicle was done by a MTO Commerical Motor Vehicle officer.

A total of five vehicles out of seven were placed out of service until repairs were made to the vehicle/or trailer.

Charges includes overweight load, insecure load, improper wheels, among other safety issues.
