Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm (Name Released)

A 41-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges after an assault investigation.

On Sunday, June 23rd, 2024, police were called to Northumberland Hills Hospital for a report of an assault.

Police investigation revealed that the victim was involved in an altercation with an unknown male while walking in the area of Bolton Street and Sinclair Street in the Town of Cobourg. The suspect began to kick and punch the victim in the head, leading to his injuries.

Through investigation, the identity of the accused was determined. On Monday, October 21, 2024, Ryan Day, a 41-year-old Cobourg man, was arrested and charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm.

The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date in November 2024.
