Cobourg Police – Keswick Man Charged with Intoxicated in a Public Place and x3 Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest (No Name Released)

A 39-year-old Keswick man is facing charges following an incident on Tuesday evening.

On October 15, 2024, at approximately 7:00 pm, police were dispatched to a disturbance at a business on
Division Street in the Town of Cobourg. Witnesses reported a man running into live traffic and being a
nuisance.

When police placed the man under arrest, he became combative, assaulting three officers.

The 39-year-old Keswick man was arrested and charged with Being Intoxicated in a Public Place and three counts of Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest.

He was later released from custody on an Undertaking with a future court date.
