Northumberland OPP – Arrest Made Following Assault (Name Released)

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested an individual following a report of an assault.

On August 16, 2024, police received a complaint regarding an altercation that took place the previous evening on King Street East in the Township of Cramahe. Injuries to the victim were described as minor.

On August 24, 2024, officers arrested an individual as a result of the investigation.

Skyler AINSWORTH, 37-years-old, from the Municipality of Brighton, has been charged with:

  • Assault – two counts.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
