Quinte West OPP – Road Closure Due to Serious Collision

A serious collision has resulted in a road closure in the City of Quinte West.

On August 20, 2024, members of the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious two-vehicle collision on County Road 28/41, west of County Road 40, shortly after 4:00 p.m. One person was transported by Air Ornge with serious injuries, while other individuals were transported to hospital by Hastings Quinte Paramedics as a precaution.

Due to the investigation and the seriousness of the collision, Quinte West OPP is advising the public of a road closure on County Road 28/41; between County Road 40 and County Road 26. This road will be closed until further notice.
