Drug Warrant/Arrests

Three people are facing charges after the Peterborough Police Service conducted a search warrant Friday afternoon.

On Friday, August 9, 2024, officers with the Drug Unit and the Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence in the McDonnel Street and Rubidge Street area.

Officers seized:

  • 2 loaded firearms (handguns)
  • 177 grams of Fentanyl
  • 55 grams of Cocaine
  • 122 Dilaudid pills
  • Over $3000.00 Canadian Currency

As a result of the investigation,

A 23-year-old Pickering man was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking of Schedule I substance – Opioid (Fentanyl)
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking  of Schedule I substance – Opioid (Dilaudid)
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking of Schedule I substance – Cocaine
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Carry concealed weapon
  • Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition

The accused was held in custody and appeared in Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court on Saturday, August 10, 2024.

A 27-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking of Schedule I substance – Opioid (Fentanyl)
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking  of Schedule I substance – Opioid (Dilaudid)
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking of Schedule I substance – Cocaine
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Carry concealed weapon
  • Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition

The accused was held in custody and appeared in Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court on Saturday, August 10, 2024.

A 17-year-old Brampton male was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking of Schedule I substance – Opioid (Fentanyl)
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking  of Schedule I substance – Opioid (Dilaudid)
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking of Schedule I substance – Cocaine
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Carry concealed weapon
  • Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition

The accused was held in custody and appeared in Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court on Saturday, August 10, 2024.

Under the Canadian Youth Justice Code, the name of a young person cannot be released.
