Belleville Police – “Not So Friendly” Bull Still on the Loose After A Week

In Police Blotter

Residents of Belleville have been asked to be on the look-out for a large bull that’s been on the loose for nearly a week in the city’s rural east end.

Police stated on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, the bull escaped a dragnet set up by police on Monday afternoon.

Shortly after 1 p.m. police were called by a homeowner in the area of Elmwood Drive and Airport Parkway after the bull, which got loose from its enclosure several days previous, was spotted roaming the neighbourhood.

Several officers responded to the area an attempt to pen the animal in, however it wasn’t spotted.

This is the second time police have been called for the animal over the past several days.

The bull is described as black and white and “not particularly friendly.”

If anyone spotting the animal is asked not to approach it and to contact police at 613-966-0882.
