Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Charged After Electric Scooter Stolen (No Name Released)

A 35-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges after police responded to a report of theft on Sunday.
On Sunday, July 21, 2024, police were called to a residence in the area of Cottesmore Avenue and University Avenue for a report of a theft. The victim advised their electric scooter was stolen overnight.

Police on general patrol located an individual riding an electric scooter that matched the description provided.

Through investigation, police confirmed it was the victim’s scooter.

As a result, a 35-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and two counts of breach of probation.

The scooter was returned to the owner, and the accused was held for a bail hearing.
