Peterborough Police – Incidents Include Indecent Act Arrest, Weapons Call (No Names Released)

Indecent Act Arrest

A 60-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after two separate indecent acts.

On Thursday, July 18, 2024, around 3:45pm, officers were called about an indecent act occurring in a public space in the south end of Peterborough. Officers attended the area, and the suspect was identified. This suspect was also linked to an incident that occurred in the same area in May 2024.

As a result of the investigation, a 60-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Indecent Act in a Public Place x 2.

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, July 19, 2024.

Weapons Call

A 20-year-old Peterborough man is facing a charge after being involved in an incident on Thursday night.

On Thursday, July 18, 2024, around 9:00pm, officers were called about a male in a public space holding an item that could be used as weapons. Officers attended the area and located the male holding a large knife.

As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, July 19, 2024.
