City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Lindsay Woman Killed Following Collision

Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a two-vehicle collision that took place yesterday, July 16th, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Police along with fire and EMS were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision involving two SUVs on Highway 7 near Round Tree Road. Unfortunately, the driver from one SUV , a 57-year-old male from Lindsay, was pronounced deceased in hospital. The other driver was treated for minor injuries.

Highway 7 and Round Tree Road remained closed while members trained in collision reconstruction measured and documented the scene. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.

Anyone who may have witnessed or has video/dash camera footage of the collision and has not spoken with police is asked to contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
