Cobourg Police – Domestic Assault

A 43-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges after police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance early Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at approximately 1:25 a.m., police responded to a report of a domestic
disturbance at a home in the Town of Cobourg. Police arrived at the house and learned that a man had
verbally threatened his spouse and made physical threats with a knife. No injuries were sustained.

As a result of the police investigation, a 43-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with Assault with a Weapon – Spousal, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and Uttering Threats Cause Death – Spousal.

The accused was held for a bail hearing
