Cobourg Police Service Asking for Public’s Assistance

The Cobourg Police Service (CPS) is looking to identify three individuals involved in a theft in the Town of Cobourg.

On Thursday, May 23rd, 2024, at approximately 1:15 p.m., police responded to a call for a theft from a change room locker at a community recreation center in the Town of Cobourg.

The victim discovered their wallet had been stolen and received notification of four fraudulent purchases made with a debit and credit card at businesses in Cobourg. Through investigation, police obtained CCTV footage of the individuals making the purchases.

Police are looking to identify the three suspects in the attached photos. It is believed the same suspects may be involved in similar thefts in other jurisdictions.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 905-372-6821 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS or visiting stopcrimehere.ca. Tips received through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward
