Cobourg Police – Ajax Men Charged After Causing Disturbance to Post on Social Media (No Names Released)

Two Ajax men were arrested for causing a disturbance after police responded to a business on the north end of Cobourg on Wednesday.

On June 12, 2024, at approximately 5:36 p.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance in a store on Strathy Road in Cobourg. It was reported that two individuals were engaged in a verbal and physical altercation.

Police determined that the two individuals attended the store with the intent to record the incident and post it on social media for monetary gain.

As a result of the investigation, two 21-year-old Ajax men were arrested and charged with causing a disturbance.

The men were subsequently released on an undertaking with a future court date.
