Cobourg Police – Cobourg man Charged with Driving While Prohibited (No Name Released)

A 36-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges after police observed the man operating a motor vehicle while prohibited.

On Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 11:30 pm, police were on general uniform patrol in the area of D’Arcy Street and University Avenue when they observed a man known to police as a prohibited driver operating a motor vehicle.

Police conducted a traffic stop, and as a result of the investigation, the male was charged with Operation While Prohibited, Breach of Probation, Driving While Under Suspension, and Failing to Surrender Insurance Card.

The accused was released on an appearance notice and summons with a future court date of July 17, 2024.
