Cobourg Police – Adult Male Arrested for Domestic Assault at Encampment

On May 15th, 2024 at approximately 11:40 pm, uniform officers from the Cobourg Police Service were dispatched and attended the Encampment in Cobourg regarding a domestic dispute. As a result of the police investigation, a 41-year-old Cobourg man was arrested for domestic assault and held for a show cause hearing and remanded until May 22nd, 2024. Further the man was found to be in violation of conditions of a probation order.

Police have charged a Cobourg man with:

Assault (spousal) and Fail to comply with probation order.

The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
