City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Impaired Driver Arrested Following MVC (Name Released)

Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation on May 10, 2024.

On May 10, 2024 at approximately 8:57 pm, officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Pigeon Lake Road in Emily Township. An impaired driving investigation commenced.

Zachery Rhodes 25 years old of Lindsay was charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 plus
  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

The accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The motor vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days.

If you plan on drinking or consuming drugs, plan to not drive. Instead, arrange for a designated driver, take a taxi or public transit, or come up with another plan that takes impaired driving out of the picture
