Video – Another Transport Gets Stuck Under Railway Bridge in Cobourg

The trailer of a transport became lodged under a CP Rail overpass in Cobourg on Monday, April 29, 2024.

At approximately 8:15 a.m. a transport heading north on Burnham Street, just north of King Street West became lodged under the CP Rail bridge.

Cobourg Police arrived on scene and blocked off Burnham Street from King Street West to Westwood Drive.

A heavy tow truck was called to the scene and removed the trailer from the bridge.

Signs facing northbound and southbound indicated the bridge has 3.75 metres clearance.

The railway bridge has been the site of many transport collisions over the years.

The driver was uninjured and the investigation is continuing.
