Durham Regional Police – Male in Custody for Multiple Indecent Exposure Incidents

Police have arrested a male for exposing himself multiple times in Durham Region.

On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at approximately 7:50 p.m., members of East Division responded to a sexual offence call in the area of Hartfield Drive and Varcoe Road, in Courtice. A male suspect exposed himself in a public area to two female youth while making inappropriate comments. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival.

The victims did not sustain any physical injuries.

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., members of East Division responded to a sexual offence call in the area of Taunton Road East and Ritson Road North, in Oshawa. A male matching the description of the previous suspect, exposed himself in a public area to a female and her daughter. Police located the suspect a short distance away and took him into custody without incident.

The victims did not sustain any physical injuries.

Maleke FINES, age 27 of No Fixed Address is charged with: Indecent Act x2, and Indecent Exposure to a Person Under 16.

He was held for a bail hearing.

Police have concerns there may be other victims and are requesting anyone with information to come forward to investigators. A photo of the accused can be viewed at www.drps.ca
