Cobourg Police – Police Investigating “Incident” in Cobourg

Few details are being released about an investigating in Cobourg on Friday, April 19, 2024.

A release issued on Friday morning stated, Cobourg Police Service is investigating an incident on Alexandria Drive in the Town of Cobourg.

At approximately 7:30 a.m. this morning, police were called to a report of a serious incident at a residence on Alexandria Drive. Police remain on scene conducting an investigation.

Two OPP Foresnic Identification vans were on scene for a period of time.  Glass on the front door was broken.

One unit off of Elgin Street remained taped off with police crime tape.

This is believed to be a targeted event and there is no risk to public safety at this time. An update will be provided when further information is available.
