Northumberland OPP – Brighton Woman Charged with Assault with a Weapon (Name Released)

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have made an arrest following a report of a disturbance.

On April 17, 2024, at approximately 9:30 a.m., OPP received a call from a concerned member of the public regarding a disturbance at a residence on Cassidey Drive in the Municipality of Brighton. Individuals could be heard screaming at each other and a glass container was used as weapon during an assault. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attended and treated the victim for minor injuries.

The accused had left prior to police arrival and was located a short distance away.

Nicole ROSATTE (age 38) of Brighton, has been charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon.

The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
