Quinte West OPP – Quinte West Man Charged in Drug Investigation (Name Released)

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a person following the execution of a search warrant in Quinte West.

On April 16, 2024, at approximately 06:00 a.m., the OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) assisted by the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), Emergency Response Team (ERT) and members of the Quinte West Detachment, executed a search warrant at a r esidence on O’Neil Crescent, Trenton, as part of a drug trafficking investigation. As a result, an individual was arrested resulting in a firearm, cash, ammunition, suspected cocaine, oxycodone, MDMA (ecstasy), amphetamine, psilocybin (mushrooms) and other items suspected to be related to drug trafficking being confiscated.

Michael BOLGER, 43 years old from Quinte West was charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule III substance for the purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Other Drugs
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
  • Careless storage of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition
  • Posses sion of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 – in Canada
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
