Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation on April 11, 2024.
On April 11, 2024, at approximately 00:41 a.m., officers conduced a traffic stop on a motor vehicle on Highway 35 at Highway 7 that entered a RIDE program after almost causing a head on collision while approaching the RIDE program. Through investigation the driver was a rrested for impaired driving offences and several Highway Traffic Act offences.
Courtney BRAY, 30-year-old of Lindsay, was charged with:
- Operation While Impaired Blood Alcohol Concentration over 80
- Operation while Impaired
- Operator Motor Vehicle without Insurance
- Drive Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available
- Drive Motor Vehicle with Liquor Readily Available
- Unsafe Move – lane or shoulder
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The motor vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days.
